Range Block












The range block isn’t too difficult a concept to grasp, yet it is one of the most essential parts of programming, given that it accommodates the margin of error found in most sensors. There are two modes (Inside/Outside) which generally refer to the position of the input value in accordance to the lower and upper boundaries. The output is a true/false value.


A sample use for the block is displayed below:


The light value measured by the colour sensor is inputted into the range block. If the input is within the range the motor will continue to move, otherwise it will come to a stop.
